CIRCLEVILLE FIRE DISTRICT |
| The Circleville
Fire District consists of five publicly-elected officials,
the Board of Fire Commissioners, each of whom serves a five year
term. Much like the volunteer firefighters we work with, we are not paid
to serve as Commissioners. It is their responsibility to provide the
necessary apparatus, buildings and equipment needed to assist the
Circleville Fire Company in the fire and rescue activities that are
essential for the protection of life and property within the Circleville
Fire District. It is also our responsibility to operate the Circleville
Fire District in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. |

The board meets on a monthly basis, to
oversee the operation of the Fire District and to make policies and
procedures under which the Fire District Circleville Fire Company
operate. We remain keenly aware of the fiduciary responsibility we hold
in representing the taxpayers within our Fire District. As
Commissioners, we are mandated to follow a strict formula in preparing
the budget in accordance with the laws of the State of New York,
including specified spending limits. Our process is a public one, and we
welcome the input of the residents and taxpayers we represent in the
Circleville Fire District. |

ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE CIRCLEVILLE FIRE DISTRICT WILL TAKE PLACE ON
DECEMBER 8TH, 2009, BETWEEN THE HOUSE OF 6:00 P.M. AND
9:00 P.M. E.S.T. AT THE CIRCLEVILLE FIREHOUSE LOCATED AT 2147 N.Y.S.
RT. 302 CIRCLEVILLE N.Y. FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING ONE
COMMISSIONER FOR A 5-YEAR TERM, COMMENCING ON JANUARY 1ST
2010, AND ENDING ON DECEMBER 31ST 2014, ALL VOTERS
REGISTERED WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS ON OR BEFORE
NOVEMBER 16TH, 2009 SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE.

ORANGE COUNTY, NEW YORK
TO THE QUALIFIED
VOTERS OF CIRCLEVILLE FIRE DISTRICT, Town of Wallkill,
Orange County, New York:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE
that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Circleville Fire
District, Town of Wallkill, Orange County has sechedule a
meeting of the qualified voters of said District to be held
at the Circleville Firehouse at 2147 Route 302, Circleville,
New York on the 8th day of December, 2009 at
6:00p.m. on that day, with polls to be open between the
hours of 6:00p.m and 9:00 p.m. for the purpose of voting
upon the following proposition:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Shall the Resolution
entitled:
BOND RESOLUTION F THE
BOARD OF FIRE COMMISIONERS OF THE CIRCLEVILLE FIRE DISTRICT,
TOWN OF WALLKILL, ORANGE COUNTY, NEW YORK (THE “DISTRICT”),
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISTION AND EQUIPPING OF A PUMPER FIRE
APPARATUS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES RELATED
THERETO; ESTIMATING THE TOTAL COST THEREOF AT $535,000;
APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR; AND AUTHORIZING THE
ISSUANCE OF $340,000 IN SERIAL BONDS OF THE DISTRICT TO
FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION
